The 2025 Ford F-250 Super Duty continues Ford’s legacy of building rugged, capable heavy-duty trucks that are as ready for work sites as they are for weekend adventures. For the 2025 model year, the F-250 gets thoughtful updates to its trims, tech, and towing gear, including revised luxury packages like the new Platinum Plus, fresh exterior colors, and advanced trailer-focused features
This truck was just picked up by one of our customers, brand new from the dealership. Since the truck is too big to fit in their garage, it will mostly be left outside in the sun. Because of this, they decided to bring it to us to get some ceramic protection applied. They opted for our System X Pro+ 6-year ceramic coating package.
STEP 1: WASH AND DECON

The first step in our ceramic coating process is always a proper hand wash to remove all of the dirt and grime from the exterior of the vehicle. Next, we do a clay bar treatment and iron decon spray to remove any embedded contaminants in the paint. This is important to ensure the ceramic coating has a clean surface to bond to. This is also a good step to do before polishing, so these contaminants aren’t being lifted and spread around the paint with the polisher.
STEP 2: 1-STEP POLISH

If the paint is in near-perfect condition, we will only do a shine-enhancement polish before applying the coating, but it looks like this truck was ran through the car wash at the dealership a couple of times, so we decided to do a 1-step polish instead. This 1-step polish was able to remove nearly all of the light swirls and scratches in the paint.
STEP 3: IPA WIPEDOWN

A crucial step before applying a ceramic coating is to use isopropyl alcohol or some kind of ceramic coating prep spray. We use Gyeon ceramic coating prep spray to remove leftover polish residue that would interfere with the adhesion of the ceramic coating to the paint.
STEP 4: CERAMIC COATING

Lastly, we ceramic coat the painted surfaces, wheel surfaces, glass, and exterior plastics. For the painted surfaces and wheel faces, we are using System X Pro+, which is a 6-year coating. This coating registers to the vehicle’s Carfax and has a lifetime warranty as long as you get a System X Topcoat applied once per year. The glass gets a 1-year ceramic coating, and the exterior plastic trim is coated with a 1-year ceramic trim coating.
